BIG NEWS: We were recently contacted by Pitman Casting about potentially working with/on the show, so make sure you are tweeting at Producer @DwightDSmith and casting agent @Partypit to give us some support!
Seth and I are currently up to our necks in rehearsals for the Purdue Christmas Show (if you haven't seen it, go see it or watch it on PBS) and our tap-rehearsals end at 9pm so we are always racing home to try and catch FaceOff and then go to sleep! We were still able to come up with some scary clowns this week!
The challenge: Create a creepy clown inspired by your childhood fear.
Our concepts: So clowns are terrifying. End of story. Add in your childhood fear...BYE.
I was terrified of complete silence as a kid; it would make me anxious and I was always worried that there would be something lurking out there, not making any noise, that could surprise me without me knowing. That is why I made this creepy stuffed clown toy...he is light on his feet because he is full of cotton and no noise can escape his stitched shut mouth.
Seth hated heights as a kid, and wanted his clown to be tall and elongated to represent that. He frequently adds carnival-goers into his fire juggling routine, tossing them up like a baton and then letting them fall to their death.
As always, feedback is welcome! This was a creepy challenge, so comments and even critiques on our work are welcome. We've been enjoying the awesome interaction you all have with us, so thank you!
We will be back live tweeting, so look for us on Twitter @RyTy18 and @seth842.
