Wizard of Wonderland, 7.6

This week's challenge was an interesting one, but one of the hardest to date! When we saw the preview, we assumed that we were going to be fusing characters from both worlds...that would have been too easy! Instead, you throw us for a loop by having us drop a house into Wonderland! And let me tell you, this challenge threw us for a loop...

The challenge: Reimagine one of the iconic characters from The Wizard of Oz as if they were created in the stories of Alice in Wonderland.

Our concepts: I started to think about the differences between "Wonderland" and "Oz" as they were perceived by two little girls: Oz is a dream-world with many realistic elements but with exaggerated human personalities. Wonderland is a trip-fantasy experienced in real-time; all of the elements in this world are extreme exaggerations of reality in a psychadelic sense. I reimagined the Wicked Witch. The witch is in control of the weather and her cloud of hair changes shape and size based on her mood. She despises the Queen of Hearts and is plotting to overthrow her so that she may rule over the land.
Seth chose to reimagine the Tin Man. After Dorothy left Oz, the Scarecrow, Lion, and Tin Man all fell down a rabbit hole and ended up in Wonderland where they were discovered by the Mad Hatter, the Cheshire Cat, and the Queen of Hearts, respectively. Given his mighty armor, the Queen asked him to fight as her captain. The Tin Man refused, so she removed the heart he had worked so hard to gain. Even without it, he still could not bring himself to fight, so the Queen threw water on him in front of her garden, leaving him to rust and permanently stand guard.

As always, feedback is welcome! This was a tough challenge, so comments and even critiques on our work are welcome.
