Sexy Beast, 6.1

The challenge: Inspired by castles of varying styles, artists were to create a prince that had been transformed into a "Beast" that would reside there, only to be found by a princess; a recreation of Beauty and the Beast.



My concept: I allowed my friends to select a castle from varying pieces of concept art, and the one chosen was a floating castle. It felt somewhat steampunk in nature; very space pirate-like. I wanted that to translate into my design for the beast. I made him avian-influenced, since he was up in the air, but wanted him to retain the physical charm of when he was a human prince.
