Movie Magic, 9.13-14

HAPPY FACE OFF!!!!!!

For those of you who are new, WELCOME! We are so excited to see all of the incredible things you are going to create this season! Seth and I would encourage you to scroll back through our pages and check out our journey through the seasons and our unique relationship with Face Off! For those of you who have been following along with us for a while, welcome back! Always good to have you!
SO to kick things off for Season 10, let's wrap things up with the finale challenge of Season 9!

The challenge:
Based on scripts for Patrick Tatopoulos, create 3 characters that will be featured in a short film.

My concept: I decided to move forward with The Prey and created 3 forest-dwellers. My "prey" character is a faun-like figure, innocent and afraid. Her protector is a larger ram-like warrior in her species, who saves her from the feline forest demon. I wanted to capitalize on the natural order of predator and prey and bring the natural food chain order into my characters, while adding an element of fantasy in the mix.

Very excited to see your Bounty Hunters tonight! Hope you are all having as much fun watching this as we are, and don't be a stranger on Social Media! Like/Follow/etc. and please share with friends! We LOVE hearing your thoughts, comments, and critiques because they make us better artists.

  1. Will you ever tackle the gauntlet?

  2. We could do sketches from the gauntlet, but I'm not sure it would really do it justice in the way that the artists have to endure it. It is much less about conceptual design and more about technical execution, and without having the materials to replicate that scenario, it doesn't seem we would be doing it justice.
