FACE OFF MEETS MYTHOLOGY
Always one of my favorite topics, this challenge was very cool! I have to give a shoutout to the entire production team, the set up at the beginning of this challenge was REMARKABLE! Sometimes people forget about the efforts of the crew and costumers and production team behind this show, but they are just as important to the overall looks as the makeup artists themselves. Way to go team!!
Our top looks matched the shows! Rob is so humble, but is clearly phenomenal! And Melissa knocked it out of the park with her reptilian cyclops.
The challenge:
Create a cyclops character like those found in Clash of the Titans and Percy Jackson
Our concepts: I found a scary red eye with a large pupil and immediately thought of some sort of demonic character. Wanting to stay away from horns and hellfire, I wanted a ghastly, almost anatomical cyclops that would exist in Hades' underworld and do his bidding. Seth found a stunning blue and yellow eye and created a tusked mountain cyclops. Definitely wouldn't want to run into this guy at night!
